PDMFC presents SPHINX Toolkit at the CSP4CIP Workshop organised by the ECSCI Cluster

On October 8, 2021, the ECSCI cluster co-organised a virtual workshop in the context of ESORICS 2021 Conference. The activity was titled “The 2nd International Workshop on Cyber-Physical Security for Critical Infrastructures Protection (CSP4CIP)” and was supported by 5 Horizon 2020 projects of the ECSCI cluster as well as the Norwegian Centre for Cybersecurity in Critical Sectors and the RESTABILISE4.0 project.

The workshop focused on cyber-physical security for protecting critical infrastructures that support finance, energy, health, air transport, communication, gas, and water. Its objective was to bring together security researchers and practitioners from the various verticals of critical infrastructures (such as the financial, energy, health, air transport, communication, gas, and water domains) to rethink cyber-physical security in the light of latest technology developments; e.g., Cloud Computing, Blockchain, Big Data, AI, Internet-of-Things (IoT). Topics of interest included innovative ideas, proof of concepts, use cases, experience reports, and results from a variety of topics relevant to the security of critical infrastructures and services, such as AI and machine learning for predictive security, vulnerability and/or risk assessment,  automated and/or dynamic threat intelligence solutions and many more.

Stylianos Karagiannis, a research engineer of SPHINX partner PDMFC, took part in the activity to represent the project and provide an overview of the SPHINX Toolkit functionalities in terms of enhancing the security and the integrity of IT ecosystems of Healthcare environments.
